The placement of the windows in your basement will usually dictate where you put your bedrooms, as you need a window in every bedroom. This can also be changed by cutting in a new window into the basement foundation, allowing you to put a bedroom wherever you want it.
The access into the basement is going to restrict what you can physically move into that space; this is something that needs to be looked at before ordering tubs and other larger building materials like drywall.

Before you proceed with your basement development, it is always a good time to inspect the foundation and make any necessary repairs. Making sure the home has proper drainage and weeping tile installed will help to ensure that you won’t have water issues in the future.
