With all of the changes made by the government since the onset of COVID19 there are new rebates towards the purchase of a new home! The government will rebate up to 42% of the total PST paid within the purchase of a house – granted there are certain details that apply, but this could be a large savings! This would apply to both RTM and SITE homes, typically as the builder we claim the rebate and discount that money back on SITE homes. On RTM homes we typically leave it up to the purchaser – since it is a ‘one-time’ claim it then allows the purchaser to also claim their foundation costs, garage costs, etc.
